Welcome to the home of Washington State wrestling photography. After careful consideration and events that happened yesterday at Tri-State, I have decided to take an indefinite leave from my wrestling photography volunteer activity. There are financial and relationship challenges that demand my focus at this time. Thanks to all that have been supportive over the last five years. 40,000 pictures and many miles... I hope that I have given the wrestling community more than I took from it as a wrestler. I greatly value the friendships that I have developed. I appreciate so many people in the world of wrestling that I can't even start to make a list, but by far, I want to thank Dave Gilbertson who gave me an opportunity to share my pictures on his website. Huge appreciation to the individuals that comprise the Board of Directors for WSWA, especially the Bullards. Thanks also to all the coaches, parents, and most of all the wrestlers, because that is who I was really doing all of this for. Lake Stevens is in good hands with the great photographic skills of Mr. Al Soler, and I am sure that the rest of the state will survive without me. I will re-evaluate things after the end of the high school season, but at this time I am going to hang up the lens. It has become too much of a strain on my finances....too much of a strain on my already strained marriage. And, quite honestly, it was becoming a lot more hassle than what I thought it was worth to the viewers of the photos. I sincerely apologize to anyone that is disappointed, but I'm sure that things will be just fine. Thanks again to the great State of Washington wrestling community. Maybe I'll see you in the bleachers...
Many people think that I make my living from taking pictures. Quite to the contrary, I spend most of the discretionary income from my daytime job in order to do this. I make the investment so that wrestlers have something to show (literally) for their efforts. However, if you are a parent that is enjoying these photos of your wrestler, I would hope that you would help support the cause. For your own benefit, please don't order pictures from the website where you are seeing the photos. Photobucket doesn't pay me a penny if you order from them. Plus, the quality of pictures is greatly reduced to be able to store in large volume on the internet. The prints on paper will NOT look very good. If you would like prints, send me an email and I can provide great photo memories of your wrestler. Please consider either making a donation or purchasing prints. Very few people are doing either recently and it is putting a significant financial challenge on the continuation of this website.
